Room to Read is working in Bangladesh since 2008. We are inviting applications from Bangladeshi nationals to work in the following regular position:
Senior Admin Associate(Based in Country Office in Dhaka and Reports to the Administration Manager)
Key Responsibilities:
i) Initiate and process all procurement and prepare necessary documents related to the purchase based on the purchase requisitions and in coordination with Administrative Manager; ii)Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual procurement plan and carry out all procurement following as per monthly/quarterly/annual plan; iii)Collect quotations and prepare comparison sheets for locally procuring the materials at the CO and field office level following all requirements of the purchase policy and other relevant policy and guidelines as well as Government regulations; iv) Preparation of purchase order (PO)/contract and submit to Admin Manager for review and recommendation/approval; v) Debarment and suspension checking before issuing PO; vi) Submit all relevant documents along with comparison sheets for the selection of suitable vendor to the Administration Manager and recommendation; vii) Vendor Certification as per policy; viii) Purchase Air Ticket based on approved travel authorization; ix) Purchase travel health insurance for international travel; xi) Visa assistance (if needed) Information collection and share on visa assistance; x) Vendor Communication; xi) Assist Admin Manager in preparation of bidding documents and prepare comparison sheets for entering into the contract; xii) Assist in timely renewal of insurance policies of property, warehouse travel etc, as per the need and decision of management; xiii) Custom clearance of all the incoming goods/outgoing shipments.
Position Specific Requirements: i) Master’s degree required in a related field of study in Business, Management or other related field; ii) A minimum 3 years of professional experience, iv) Ability to travel regularly to project sites and Field offices throughout the Country
General Requirements i) Willingness & ability to visit program sites extensively; ii) Skill & experience of working with e-communication & people with diverse culture; iii) Strong communication skills in Bangla and English ; iv) Excellent computer operating skill, v) Ability to work under pressure, vi) Comfortable in a performance-based organization working with low overhead budget. vii) Proven track record of achieving results, viii) Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
